Yes, good idea, Martha, but such a children’s book was published in March of this year: “Trees Make Perfect Pets.” I ordered a copy for my grandchildren, Avery Grace and Caden, and read it to AG via Facetime.

‘Cherokee Princess’ is a pretty cool name (and my favorite aunt had some Cherokee DNA), but the possible political incorrectness of it did trouble me some; there are pink dogwood varieties named: ‘Cherokee Chief’ and ‘Cherokee Brave.’ Here’s a fun fact: 2 of the 3 Singing Tree crew who planted ‘Princess Emily’ have partners named “Emily”!
