Congratulations, Lynn Tiessen! You are the first person to correctly identify the two islands in the photo on the cover of my book.
Yes, they are South Bass Island and Gibraltar Island (I’ll accept your alternate spelling of the latter). They are both Ohio islands located in the (at least) 36-island archipelago known as the Lake Erie Islands, found in the western basin of Lake Erie.
